Get Visual Basic Express is the first step for programming. Don't worry, VB.NET is an excellant programming langage no matter what they say about it.

Is  not true that Visual Basic is less powerfull or have limitations. In fact people who beleive it simply don't know what they are talking about. Is all the same thing by the way. It all use the famous .NET 

Framework.
